Contractor: Tolent Homes
Client: HKR Hoxton Development
Type of works: Fire Door Installation, Flooring, Skirting and Cabinets
Ahmarra Installations have been busy with an installation project at the luxurious HKR Hoxton residencies, in Hackney Road, East London. The development replaces a disused bingo hall with a stunning 10 storey building that will house high specification homes, as well as flexible workspace on the ground floor, landscaped gardens and other amenities such as a gym. Designed by the award-winning Hawkins\Brown architects, the development includes 78 apartments and five townhouses. Main contractor Tolent selected the Ahmarra Installations team because of their reputation for skilled specialist joinery, as well as having worked with them previously on a number of successful projects.
The team installed Secured By Design (SBD)/PAS 24 security entrance doors for all of the apartments. The understated matt black finish and illuminated number panels compliment the contemporary interior design scheme of the residencies. These enhanced security doors have a multi-point locking system.
The stunning, white internal doorsets feature contrasting matt black Karcher door furniture. These doorsets have an FD30 fire-rating and all doors were fitted by our fully qualified Q-Mark registered Fire Door Installers.
Solid wood flooring was laid throughout the modern apartments. Timeless oak Herringbone flooring was chosen for the inviting kitchen and living room areas, whilst traditional plank flooring was selected for the hallways.
Purpose-built niche boxing, oval cabinets and mirrored cabinets were also installed by the team within the bathrooms and ensuites.
The joinery installation project is still a work in progress, and the team are in the process of laying composite decking and installing Corten planters in the surrounding outside space.
