Type of works: Supply severe duty laminated fire doors

Ahmarra supplied 200 high performance fire doors for the new breast cancer screening centre and emergency floor at Worthing Hospital, which forms part of a major £18 million redevelopment.

The doors were faced in Formica laminate in a selection of vibrant colours to aid the hospitals patient-focused wayfinding system. As both safety and noise reduction were important factors in the design, the doors were fire rated from FD30 to FD90 and offered acoustic ratings up to 35 RwdB.

As one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of performance timber doorsets, our severe-duty tested doorsets are particularly suited to hospitals and healthcare facilities. We can offer advice on complex design issues, acoustic performance requirements and infection control, through the use of specialist lacquers.
